Apr 27, 2010

It’s that time of the week again – time to take a look at one of the fabulous fabric stores available online.  Today, we’re smitten with Pink Chalk Fabrics.  Originally started as a blog to catalog her crafty endeavors, Kathy Mack eventually started publishing her own patterns, and then started selling fabric – to use to make the fantastic creations from her patterns.

Pink Chalk Fabrics has a great selection of designer fabric, as well as a strong selection of patterns.  Take a look at her free patterns, too.  And her blog.

Tuesday Afternoon Fabric Finds

Apr 20, 2010

We’re starting a little experiment here at the Havel’s Sewing Sew Creative Blog.  We’re starting a weekly series called “Tuesday Afternoon Fabric Finds.”  The title may seem a little misleading when you learn that we’re actually profiling online fabric shops and not specific fabric.  But, we’ll be sure to clue you in on what type of fabrics each shop specializes in or keeps well-stocked.  If they have something that is hard to find elsewhere, we’ll let you know.  Every Tuesday until we exhaust the internet.  First find:

Fabricworm!

Cynthia Mann at Fabricworm started with an Etsy store, upgraded within a year to an ecommerce site and now not only runs a brick and mortar store, but she is producing a line of fabric!  She keeps a well-curated collection at the Fabricworm site, including all the popular designers AND Japanese fabric.  She has all the Anna Maria Horner voile in stock.  She also has a nice collection of oilcloth

The site is easy to navigate and the fabric photos enlarge when you click on them.  Outstanding customer service, too!
